Sunday Duds

This is Ethan in his new Sunday duds--have you ever seen such a handsome baby?? Thanks to his Aunt Brooke (Tolman, not Nelson) for buying this. We wanted to document that Brooke actually bought something for someone--everyone I know it is hard to believe but she actually bought this with her OWN money for Ethan!! Thanks Brooke!!

Navy Family Fun Run

This Saturday, team Nelson took part in a family fun run here on base. This was Ethan's first race and we wanted to make sure and document it. He was the second youngest person that participated. Eric ran the 5k and Ethan and I did the 1.5 mile loop. I am proud to say that we were the first mom and son team that rolled in. Both Eric and I finished in the top 10--okay there were only 12 people that ran in each race--JUST KIDDING!! There were about 75 people that ran/walked the race. The second picture of Ethan is after the race. You can see that he was just exhausted--it is tough work sitting in the stroller and motivating mom to run faster. We sure had a lot of fun and can't wait to do another race.

Big as an elephant!

This AWESOME blue elephant is courtesy of Jessica, who made it to match the little quilt she made for Ethan. He doesn't have many toys yet, but this is probably the favorite!

Growing like a weed!

Today Ethan and I went for his two month check-up where he got 3 shots--poor guy, and he got weighed and measured. Ethan weighed in at 13 lbs and 1 oz and measured in at 24 inches. So that is a 5 lb weight gain since birth and he has grown 3 inches. We must be doing something right!! Needless to say, I am getting some big muscles lugging him around, so be aware of my pipes!!

Sleeping like a baby...I mean sleeping with a baby!

On sunday we went over to our friends Emily and Justin's for General Conference. They captured this moment for us, Eric engrossed by the spirit as he ponders on the message of the primary second counselor's talk. I think pink is a good color for him (even if he can't see it!)
